Location: Saint Charles or KCMO
Level: Non-exempt
Hours: 40+ hours/week, 8:00AM – 5:00PM; seasonality of business will require overtime hours at times throughout the year.
Travel: 50% + to 100% (includes overnight)

Job Summary
The Cell Tower Technician supports the tower crew with the overall success and safety of erecting, installing, and maintaining wireless telecommunication towers builds. This role is focused on modifying, repairing, and installing both mobile and stationary radio transmitting and broadcasting equipment. This role is an entry level position and reports to the Foreman and Construction Manager.
Essential Job Functions
- Willingness to get Sh!t done (despite weather, locations, Or barriers).
- Perform a variety of tasks including planning, tower erection, assembling and mounting antennas and other support equipment.
- Inspect completed work to ensure all hardware is tight, antennas are level, hangers are properly fastened, proper support is in place, or adequate weather proofing has been installed.
- Grounding of electronic equipment based on industry standards; weatherproofing lines; familiarity working with fiber is extremely beneficial.
- Troubleshooting the cause of equipment failure using various procedures and test equipment.
- Examine/inspect field conditions and identify problems, inaccuracies, and cost-saving measures that arise or that may be encountered; take corrective actions as needed and report any issues to leadership.
- Maintain documentation that is a) reliable; b) accurate, and c) detailed. Including but not limited to: client and company checklists, forms, photos, and closing documents.
- Maintain a safe and clean job site: pick up tools and equipment, secure job site each day to eliminate potential hazards.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Experience is not needed but preferred in antenna and line upgrades, steel mod projects, and potentially microwave installation and alignment.
- The ability to take initiative and ask how you can help.
- The ability to be inquisitive, learn and apply basic understanding of the tower technician essential job functions as stated above.
- Reliability, showing up to work and doing what you say.

Background check & drug screen
The safety of all personnel and quality of work is of paramount concern. We are a Drug and Alcohol-Free workplace. Candidates will be required to take and pass a Background check and Drug screen prior to employment. Testing also occurs at Random, Post Incident, and For Cause.
Physical Demands
The employee is regularly required to stand, walk, and drive or ride in a motor vehicle. The employee must regularly be able to lift and carry up to 75 lbs., up to six (6) to eight (8) hours/day. Will need to perform these duties in all weather conditions/climates, including heat, cold, rain, snow, etc. Must have the ability to travel, sometimes with short notice.

Pay: $21.00 - $28.00 per hour
