**TO WORK NATIONWIDE**
Construction Manager will have the primary duty of overseeing a construction project other duties and responsibilities as well. Some of these duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
- Oversees construction sites end to end, general contractors, and workers to ensure a high level of quality and safety.
- Creates and reviews Requests for Information and Requests for Proposal and Change Orders. • Guarantees that all work is performed in accordance with approved manuals and procedures.
- Ensures that the project is constructed and documented in accordance with the contract documents and good engineering practices.
- Provides technical support to Project Managers.
- Develops and maintains project cost/change controls, and project budget and accounting records.
- Performs change order estimating and assists the Project Manager in change order negotiations.
- Coordinates and monitors schedule updates, invoices, and submittals. • Assists in managing and reviewing the progress of contractors’ construction schedules.
- Reviews weekly and monthly reports on the status and progress of the contracts, including project costs and potential changes.
- Translate customer needs into formal requirements, using knowledge of the industry and delivery methodology.
- Conduct a pre-construction review to verify the negotiated scope of work for each specific site and complete site closing documentation validation and delivery to the customer in a timely manner base on the official schedule provided to the customer.
- Identify and address all issues and delays in advance and set activities expectations and timelines with service crews.
- Create and develop solutions to keep projects on track. • Complete personnel evaluations as required.
- Works toward simplification and standardization of processes and activities. • Build customer loyalty and supplier commitment.
- Effectively manage resource allocation on different markets and customers.
- Respond to work delays, emergencies, and other problems.
- Choose the types of tools to use in the construction and track the inventory of those tools.
- Keep employee logs and monitor the conduct of each one of them.
- Ensure that the construction project complies with all safety and building regulations.
- Conduct an in-depth analysis of the project to come up with the budget and deliverables.
- Establish risk factors, then manage and mitigate them to ensure the construction goes on smoothly.
- Train installation crews and other personnel as required.
- Interact with local authorities to obtain licenses and permits for the project.
- Choose contractors and delegate their responsibilities.
- Explain contract and technical matter to others in a clear manner.
- Attend site walks and final acceptance site walks as required.
- Ensure proper completion of deliverables – (Red Line drawings, Test Reports, Schedule, Project Support Agreement, etc.)
- Attend client project meetings and trainings as needed.
Construction Manager Requirements:
- Must pass pre-employment background screening.
- Associate degree or bachelor’s preferred.
- 4+ years of experience as a Construction Manager.
- Previous experience on TMO, AT&T, Ericsson & Nokia deployments.
- Must have strong working knowledge and ethics of the telecommunications industry.
- Solid knowledge of wireless infrastructure and construction technology.
- Solid grasp of quality compliance and safety regulations.
- Previous experience in managing projects for different carriers on different markets.
- Previous experience on integrations, contactors management, human resource management, communications management, risk management and quality management.
- Excellent on conflict management and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Excellent analytical skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- High level of interpersonal communications skills, ability to effectively communicate with all employee and management levels.
- Ability to read and understand CD, RFDS, BOM, Rigging Plans, SA, MA, SOW, COP’s, financial reports and other construction related documentation.
- Ability to understand and validate accurately technical data related to cell sites optimization process, PIM test, Sweep test, Fiber Test, AAT reports, RF reports.
- Ability to conduct a full quality installation audit on site following project standards and push sites for full COP acceptance.
- Ability to support construction crews on technical troubleshooting.
- Fast learner so it can keep up with new technologies, processes, and standards.
- Experience on servant management style and techniques.
- Knowledge of the best HR practices
- Candidate must be willing to travel to the local markets and stay on local markets as required.
- Must be able to use the Microsoft office programs, including Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word, at or above a regular experience level.
- Knowledge of basic accounting procedures including making financial projections of materials and resources
- Bilingual (English and Spanish) is a plus.
