Required Education and Experience:
Tower Climber Technician:
At least 1 year of tower climbing experience. Safety certification a plus. Able to climb monopole, freestanding, guyed towers and water tanks up to 300 ft. Strict adherence to local, state, and federal safety guidelines regarding fall protection and PPE usage. Able to take direction and complete tasks with minimal supervision. Basic knowledge of communications terminology and equipment. Andrews, Commscope, Anritsu, and Gravitec supervision a plus. Valid Washington state driver’s license, and good driving record required. Out of town and maintenance window work is necessary up to 50% of the time.
Tower Climber Technician 2:
Individual to have 1 to 2 years’ experience with data communications and low voltage cabling. Knowledge of basic termination and testing techniques of Cat 5e, Cat 6, Single and Multi-mode fiber and RF cabling. Basic understanding of 24 to 48 VDC power systems and components. Able to take direction and complete tasks with minimal supervision. Valid Washington state driver’s license and good driving record required. Out of town and maintenance window work is necessary up to 50% of the time.
Tower Climber Technician 3:
Self-motivated individual with 2 to 4 years’ experience in the communications industry. Has at least 1 year of supervisory experience. Strong working knowledge of data communications cabling, termination, testing, and labeling standards. Able to lead 2-to-4-man crews in either remote or central office locations. Extensive understanding of 24 to 48 VDC power systems, components, and cabling practices. Required to submit daily work reports and safety sheets (JSA’s) for crew. Valid Washington state driver’s license and good driving record required. Out of town and maintenance window work is necessary up to 50% of the time.
Physical Demands:
Ability to climb towers with proper safety equipment and guidelines.
Able to endure and work in adverse and seasonal weather changes.
Ability to travel for long or short lengths of time.
Ability to sit or stand for long lengths of time.
Ability to carry or lift heavy materials or cables.
Job Type:
This is a Full Time Job. Reliability, dependability and punctuality is a must. Pilgrim Communications, Inc. Contract and Sub-Contracts jobs for which deadlines are met.
Pay:
Pay is based on work history and experience. We are a fair business in which experience and knowledge is considered.
Foremen are provided work truck and fuel provided.
Per Diem provided for employees working for out of town contracts that require overnight stay.
Employees are paid mileage for travel time.

Upon hire:
Must have the ability to climb over 300ft while task oriented and following safety standards.
Must have a valid driver's license. Must be able to pass a drug, urine screening and Background Check.
Must be able to follow instructions and communicate efficiently and effectively with superiors and co-workers.
Must adhere to OSHA, NATE, Customer and Wireless Quality & Safety Standards.
Ability to complete Job Safety Analysis (JSA’s) daily & perform safety inspections when required.
Ability to use PIM / Sweep Test Gear.
Ability to use Connector Tools, able to install connectors on all size coaxes. Ability to install coax / fiber trunks on the tower.
Ability to install antennas: set RETs, Down tilts, Azimuths. Ability to collect, assemble, and submit closeout documentation.
