Job Requirements
The position will be located in our Hartford, CT (New England) Market. Frequent travel as well as driving company-owned vehicles may be required. Non-Local candidates applying to this position must understand costs associated with relocation will not be covered. As a part of the team, you must be dependable as well as motivated with strong installation, repair and maintenance skills related to this specific industry.
Specific qualifications include:
- Minimum 3-7 years of tower of telecom tower climbing experience
- Minimum 3 years of tower Foreman experience
- High School Diploma or Equivalent (required)
- Valid Driver’s License
- ComTrain certificate (required)
- Demonstrated experience in all aspects of line and antenna system installation, replacement and maintenance i.e. coax jumpers, TMA’s, connectors, weatherproofing, etc.
- Computer Literacy (required)
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Experience using the Sunsight Alignment tool
- Experience and certification with both PIM and Sweep equipment (required)
- Experience with employee management: scheduling, completing performance reviews, etc.
- Experience with managing/implement internal and government safety compliance and procedures
As a Tower Foreman you will be responsible for a full range of installation, repair and maintenance services on clients’ cellular towers including but not limited to:
- Managing subordinate crew members in the Construction/Tower field
- Provide suggestions/recommendations with respect to recruiting, employee performance/management
- Determines appropriate project techniques for assigned employees
- Maintains job records for use in managing or control
- Determines materials, equipment, and tools to be used for assigned projects
- Reads interprets and builds according to design site plans and layouts
- Controls the flow and distribution of materials and supplies
- Plans and controls the project budgets
- Manages all relevant data in internal and external websites
- Provides safety and security of employees and company assets
- Performs inspection of entire installs. Troubleshoots problems with installs. Captures and provides closeout packages
- Handles employee complaints and grievances according to company policy and lawfully
- Handles employee discipline and probation according to company policy and lawfully
- Monitors or implements proper safety and legal compliance measures
- Other closely related work may include physical tasks and menial tasks such as; timesheet and other record-keeping, completing Job Safety Analysis, adjusting equipment and tools, complying data to create documents or reports and presentations
- Reports any workers’ comp injuries or other incidents
