The ideal candidate for this position will be a person who pays attention to detail and is comfortable working in a moderately stressful environment and can work well with deadlines. This person will need to be a self-starter and able to perform with limited supervision. The office location is San Angelo, Texas, but travel will be required – including travel with overnight stays generally from 1 to 5 days at a time. Travel requirement could be up to approximately 30% of the time. A typical work week is 8 – 5, and 40 hours per week with weekends off; but due to the nature of the business, working non-typical hours is somewhat common and occasional weekend work can be expected. Western Towers offers all typical holidays off, vacation days, and sick days. Base Pay is commensurate with experience. Commission and Bonus pay is also available for reaching and maintaining various sales goals. This position reports to the Sales Manager. Western Towers is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
Preferred Skill Set and Requirements:
Undergraduate Degree from an Accredited University in either Marketing, Business Management, or related degree field.
Working knowledge of all common software programs such as the MS Office programs (Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.).
Working knowledge of ERP systems is a plus. Western Towers uses the Global Shop ERP program.
Previous sales experience.
Good working knowledge and ability in reading and understanding construction specifications and drawings – understands SOW’s.
Ability to read and understand contracts and agreements – especially pertaining to the construction industry.
Valid Texas Driver’s License.
Good Personal Credit Rating (Company Credit cards are issued and used from time to time)
Possesses good written and oral communication skills.
Able to pass military and government background checks for access to our governmental customers.
