Vertical Limit is looking for experienced Tower Foreman in the Midwest, Great Lakes, Texas and Mountain Regions.

Position Overview:

As a Tower Foreman you will be leading a team completing various structural projects, which may include: new builds, site mods, grain elevators, or on a roof top. You will have the knowledge and certifications to effectively utilize tools, technology, and other resources to install mounts, grounding, associative RF components, cad welding, and/or inspecting structures in which you will be expected to ensure all safety precautions set forth by Federal, State, & Vertical Limit’s regulations at all elevations. Daily activities also include on-site to install, repair, and modify a variety of wireless equipment on infrastructures. Position is directly supervised by Field Manager.

Essential Job Functions

  • Manage a crew working on projects that may include construction, repair, and/or maintenance
  • Coordinate and give instruction on the installation of wireless infrastructures including but not limited to (installation of antennas, feed lines, fiber, shelters, self-support towers, guy towers, and monopoles.) at heights 500+’
  • Contribute to the department effectiveness by receiving and providing information as necessary
    • Promote teamwork, implement directions, and work to support company culture, goals, and objectives
      • Delegate tasks to team members to promote position growth
      • Maintain professional attitude and lead by example
  • Provide support to Managers and customers
    • Demonstrate commitment to customer service at all times

  • Collect, review, & complete closeout documentation
    • Maintain records of repairs, calibration, procedures, and problems
    • Discuss issues with Project teams as necessary
  • Experience working with various carriers and general contractors
  • Monitoring daily production reports and completing performance evaluations of crew members
    • Teach and assist team members to develop technical knowledge and skills related to job duties
    • Maintain and ensure crew adheres to a clean, orderly environment abiding by the company’s policies and industry regulation/standard(s) (OSHA)
  • Isolate basic hardware, software, and air interface malfunctions utilizing various test equipment on multiple products and technologies
  • Strict attention to detail and organization; enabling timely task completion focusing on the quality of workmanship
    • Follow work orders submitted by customers and/or project teams
    • Aide project teams in completing projects on time and on budget
  • Ensure accurate & timely reports are completed and submitted
  • Stay informed of trends and innovation techniques in order to be competitive in state-of-the-art practices and products


  • Ability to run all aspects of a tower project, top or bottom, with minimal to no supervision.
    • Run all test equipment (Sweeps, PIM, Fiber, Microwave, etc.)
  • Strong leadership role – committed to safe & reliable services in which you are willing to help train others
  • Maintain CPR/First Aid AED, OSHA 30, RF Radiation Safety & Awareness, Anritsu, PIM, and Competent Climber certifications
  • Self-starter & team player who pays strict attention to detail and organization effectively interfacing with all levels of management, staff, and customers
    • Versatility, flexibility, and enthusiasm needed in a constantly changing work environment
  • Maintain proper use of company vehicles, credit cards, and other assigned assets
  • Effectively interface with all levels of management, staff, and customers
  • Pass the following tests prior to employment: drug test, background check, and physical examination evaluation process during training
  • Ability to travel up to 4 weeks at a time, followed by 1 week off; 100% of the time
    • Be available for evening, weekends, and rotational assignments; accepting on-call responsibilities
  • Possess and maintain a valid driver’s license

Other Skills/Abilities

  • Ability to use office equipment (i.e. computer, copier, scanner, fax)
  • Ability to perform duties of Tower Tech I-III with ease
  • Microsoft Office product knowledge (i.e. Outlook, Word, Access)
  • Ability to effectively utilize the internet
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.

Physical Requirements

  • Energetic and mentally prepared
  • Ability to meet physical demands of duties
    • Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
    • Ability to bend, lift, twist, squat, kneel, sit for extended periods of time
  • Ability to work outside and withstand varied inclement weather conditions
  • Ability to reach, climb, and/or grasp ladders or other tall structures
