Also supported field locations by troubleshooting issues as well as issuing new equipment and replacing defective equipment. Worked with Track-It ticketing system to resolve troubleshooting issues in an effective and timely manner. Installed and maintained Lexmark and HP printers. Used remote access to resolve client issues by logging into their computers and walking them through troubleshooting steps via phone support.
Stallion (6 months) – Installed and maintained VSAT satellite systems on oil rigs as well as installing wireless and wired intercom systems for rig communications. Installed Cisco voip phones in company man trailers. Used Remedy ticketing system to track client issues and deploy on-site repairs in a timely manner. Set up satellite using Bird dog and multimeter devices. Installed remote boxes on-site to connect satellite for internet use, as well as voip systems.
XTO Energy (4 months) – Performed migration for all users from Windows XP to Windows 7. Also migrated users from Lotus Notes to Microsoft Outlook. Supported 3 different floors (300+ users) within their business. Installed SCADA applications, troubleshoot internal software (set up user ID and passwords), installed printers, answered user questions, supported wireless devices (iPhone/Blackberry). Troubleshot basic VPN challenges. Added trouble tickets to internal database and noted solutions in system. Installed HP/Cannon printers. Provided some support to Active Directory (set up user ID’s and passwords, resets, add to domains, etc.)
Permian Basin Instruments (ongoing) – Provided basic PC support and answered questions for a small office. Removed virus infected desktops. Installed/Uninstalled software, etc. Answered incoming calls from users and tracked solutions for management. Contract was hands on at client site. Provided support to desktop software for users (Office, internal software).
