Primary Duties: Perform all aspects of installation and troubleshooting of Digital cable, high speed data and VOIP telephone systems. Use JDSU SLM to diagnose and repair signal impairments. Calculate drop loss. Configure RF signal. Proactively determine and refer discrepancies between the tap and head end to plant technicians. Work with Tier 3 and NOC to troubleshoot advanced problems. Maintain knowledge of audio and video systems. Determine if customer equipment is working correctly. Conduct advanced ladder handling at heights up to 32 feet. Run new drops aerial and underground. Bond all drop systems, Install NIDs and repair of cat5 and telephone wiring. Configure wireless routers. Drive and maintain a company vehicle. Directly interact with subscribers to determine what services they need, and best way to install on customer premise. Conduct customer education.
