Achieved best Productivity, Cost Per Hour, Just in Time (JIT), Parts Per Million (PPM) and Gross Margins (GM) ever in plant history (@ ECI). IMPACT: Grew from 200 to 800 employees. Increased profits to $200K per month. Recognized by customers for excellent quality, and awarded Best Improved Vendor of the Year by (CASE). Acquired new customers (Chrysler, Ford, E-Z-Go).

Led cross functional focus groups in identifying variables to enhance production turn-around times. Identified sources of variability through observation. Created several teams to focus on key contributors and led daily meetings discussing variance. Provided oversight and held teams accountable to generating improvements. IMPACT: Increased productivity, Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) from 2-30%, Overall Labor Effectiveness from 20-60% (OLE) and First Pass Yield (FPY) from 60-90%in less than 6 months.

Implemented MRP/ERP system, Kan-Ban, and material synchronization through five contract manufacturing facilities. Utilized a fleet of 84 trailers to deliver in-line material kits and pick up recyclable materials and scrap. IMPACT: Provided single source for customers to receive their products.

Boosted productivity of medical device manufacturing line by introducing changes in product’s equipment. Optimized, maintained and reduced variability. Validated equipment windows of operation using proven techniques like DMAIC, DOE and SPC. IMPACT: Increased productivity of catheters by over 60%.

Spearheaded development of new program management department within Rockwell, bringing in new contract manufacturing business. Negotiated key metrics, product & service price, and terms & conditions with customers. Monitored product development using key business indicators such as material cost, and labor. Designed and created brochures, films and power point presentations to promote contract manufacturing business. IMPACT: Transferred over 175 assemblies in record time resulting in high cost savings for customers, and increased revenue in excess of $17M annually.

Decreased incoming, in-line and field failures rates through successful implementation of quality principles and systems. Implemented and successfully achieved ISO 9000, Six Sigma, QS-9000, APQP compliant for Chrysler and Ford. IMPACT: Reduced Japanese incoming, in-line and field modem rejection rate to 100 PPM from 20000 PPM by established customer audits (CAL), production monitoring system (OTM) and reliability tests (MERIT).
