AREAS OF EXPERTISE
Maintenance - Repaired and replaced cables, circuit cards, circuit components, solder joints and runs. Used soldering irons and hand tools to remove and replace defective components and parts such as conductors, resistors, semiconductors, and integrated circuits. Manufactured replacement cables and repaired damaged cables. Maintained, repaired, and restored ground radio systems and vehicle mounted radio systems and ensured performance was within manufacturer specifications.

Troubleshooting - Applied knowledge of basic electricity, electronics, digital logic, computer operation, circuit principles to assess equipment and diagnose causes of failure. Tested equipment functions such as signal strength and quality, transmission output, and interference. Utilized schematic diagrams and specification manuals to troubleshoot circuits, build replacement cables, and identify repair parts. Used test equipment such as multi-meters, circuit analyzers, frequency meters, and watt meters to analyze and troubleshoot performance of ground radio systems and vehicle mounted radio systems to determine preventative and corrective maintenance requirements.

Leadership - Led, mentored, and supervised 8 subordinate personnel. Ensured that all new employees were trained to meet or exceed organizational performance standards. Coordinated plans and actions of small teams providing communications support during training operations. Provided quality control of maintenance being performed in my assigned section prior to release of items to customers.

Supply Chain - Requisitioned and received repair parts and bench inventory of commonly used items. Maintained inventory records of all auxiliary and component pieces of larger communication suites. Stored equipment by type and function to ease inventory, accountability, and issue processes.
