Cell Tower Technician / Rigger
Ontario Canada and Michigan USA

Vaughan (Ontario, Canada)-based electrical and wireless telecom construction company is seeking tower technicians with experience in the wireless construction industry. Now hiring qualified Cell Tower Technicians with 1+ years’ experience in the cellular wireless tower industry. We’re putting together crews that can work in Ontario, Canada and Michigan for various carriers so a passport is required (please don’t apply if you can’t work in the USA or Canada). A cross border work visa will be provided to the right individual.

Job responsibilities/requirements:

• Installing, terminating and testing all aspects of a wireless communication site including antennas, microwaves and steel on towers and rooftops

• Antenna installation, mounting and removal, equipment and cabling along with RET systems and azimuth

• Sweep testing

• Skilled at reading blueprints, constructing & climbing cell tower structures, drilling, rigging loads, grounding, reinforcing & connecting electrical cell tower components.

• Current valid driver license

• Certification in tower climbing, fall arrest & ‘Working at Heights’ is mandatory

• Tower Climbing: 1 year

• Cellular tower / construction – 1 year

• Possess a certificate from a rigging school or equivalent minimum experience

• Basic computer skills

• Candidate must be willing at times to travel to job sites located throughout Ontario Canada and multiple U.S. States.
• working extended hours (sometimes 10-14 hour days)
• Ability to work in various outdoor climates throughout the year.
• Candidates with OSHA safety certifications are highly desired, as well as good communication skills.
