Field Technician/Tower Tech Responsibilities

Project Flow - Understand that your involvement has direct and significant impact on the flow of a project. Come prepared every day with the proper tools, clothes, food, and most importantly, attitude.
Craftsmanship - Comprehension of the plans and supporting site documents, attention to detail, efficiency, initiative, and work ethic all play a role in your craftsmanship. A true craftsman sees every task no matter how significant or menial as their personal signature.
Safety - “What are your reasons for making the safe choice?” Take personal responsibility for your safety and well-being and know the core reasons why you make the safe choice. Participate in creating a safe workplace. Understand the jurisdictional and industry safety standards, ask questions, and engage in the conversation.
Civil Construction - Have an understanding of civil construction and know the building standards and constructions means and methods. Be familiar with excavation, trenching, road building and dirt work. Also be familiar with all aspects of concrete construction including rebar placement, form building, pouring, and finishing concrete.
RF Installs and Tower Structural Mods - Have an understanding of all aspects of RF installs and testing, have a general understanding of the customers standards and of constructions means and methods. Be familiar with RF equipment installs including antennas, Radios (RRU’s), coax and fiber jumpers, weatherproofing, hybrid installs. Have a general understanding of RF and Fiber testing. Also be familiar with and proficient at all aspects of fall protection, tower recuse, efficient positioning, basic tower rigging, load line operation.
