We are not reselling or rebranding other Internet Service Provider Services. Fireline Broadband provides fast, reliable and secure bandwidth with speeds up to 10 Gigabit. Fireline Broadband is a multi-homed Tier 2 carrier that has direct peering relationships with over 800 networks such as YouTube, Google and MSN. Our coverage area spans several counties, including but not limited to Ventura County, Los Angeles County, Orange County, Riverside/San Bernardino, San Diego, Palm Springs, Lake Arrowhead and Las Vegas.

Tower Technician

Job Description

This position is responsible for daily site maintenance:

• Climb and work safely on communication towers at various heights to set up, maintain and repair wireless communication equipment, including antennas, radios, coaxial, and fiber optic cables.
• Perform site upgrades, and antenna alignment to optimize signal strength and coverage.
• Install, configure, and troubleshooting wireless networking equipment.
• Maintain and repair DC power systems, including batteries, rectifiers and transfer switches
• Conduct site surveys and inspections to ensure compliance with safety and industry standards.
• Troubleshoot and resolve network connectivity issues in collaboration with the engineering team.
• Document work performed, including maintenance logs and equipment status reports.
• Respond promptly to network outages, diagnosing issues and performing repairs or equipment replacements as needed.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies during fieldwork.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications (e.g., ComTrain, OSHA 10/30, or equivalent) helpful.
• Comfortable working at heights and on ladders
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to use hand and power tools comfortably preferred
• Experience with network cabling. (Cat5, Fiber, Coax).
• Basic networking knowledge, including IP configuration, wireless protocols, and troubleshooting.
• Experience with DC power systems, including installation and maintenance of batteries and rectifiers helpful.
• Valid driver’s license
• Recognize and provide a safe work site with acceptable quality and efficiency.
• Basic computer skills and team collaboration skills necessary

• Ability to lift and carry minimum 50 lbs.
• Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
