Title: Tower Foreman/
Duties: My job was to run a 2-3 man crew that had little experience and make them excellent tower climbers/ workers. We worked with Andrew/Comscope Microwave antennas using Alcatel- Lucent and Erricson radios. We used volt meters and path boxes to fine tune the microwave transmission. We had an AT&T microwave contract and we were getting complete sites done in 2 days, sometimes 3 depending on weather. Basically the same objectives as with MasTec. Fill out JSA's, time cards, emails and drive truck to and from site. Perform interviews when needed and fire personnel when needed. Keep the crew motivated and with a positive attitude. Title: Tower climber/ Technician
Duties: to climb towers and install AT&T LTE upgrades to many different towers in the metro area of Seattle Washington and northern Oregon. My job was to pay attention to my fellow workers and foreman and learn how to wire in the cabinets, run grounds, build platforms and antennas, make and connect jumpers and connect TMA'S and mount it all on the mast pipe and secure to the tower. I started green as a telecom worker at this company but caught on quick. Learned a little about the whole process and soon became a lead man. Learned that safety is #1 in this industry and we would ALWAYS Check harness for rips, tears, or frayed straps before each climb and attend all safety meetings.
