
Completed numerous inspections of Coast Guard towers contracted through the United States Government ensuring they are structurally sound and in compliance with all Federal regulations. Other jobs have included the removal of 4 Coast Guard towers, each being 700-foot guyed towers.
Constructed 5 solar powered guidance beacon towers for the FAA and the Vermont Transit Authority as part of a first of its kind aviation guidance system.
United States Marine Corps, 2001-2013
Sergeant - Completed a 12-year career, gaining upper-level management within occupational specialty. Participated in multiple aspects of combat support, logistical, administrative units and operating systems at different levels within the United States military.
An active participant in implementing strategic procedures for logistical convoys in a combat environment, having supervised large groups of personnel under extreme circumstances with demanding timelines.
Responsible for ensuring all proper safety procedures and equipment were being utilized for a platoon of inexperienced Marines operating heavy tracked vehicles with zero incidents and 100%mission accomplishment.
Management: Currently in training to become a foreman for my current employer, gradually increasing my responsibility to a point of being the lead man on various jobsites, putting me in charge of ensuring that all safety regulations are being followed, often involving inexperienced crews working at extreme elevations, as well as demanding the highest quality of work from my subordinates.
Led the Battalion’s logistical transfer of over 50 combat vehicles and over $25 million of communication and optical equipment from Camp Dwyer, Helmand Province, Afghanistan to Camp Leatherneck for return to The United States. This operation involved the coordination of 4 different units with continuously changing timelines, requiring a flexible and hands on leadership style, which resulted in the completion of all transfers ahead of schedule.
Operations & Logistics: Was overall responsible for operational status, coordinating mechanical repair and staging of 24 logistical operations to various Forward Operating Bases, all with different mission requirements and personnel changes.
Routinely assisted in the coordination of training evolutions for entry level Marines in order to fulfill training requirement for completion of program. Responsible for submitting requests to units for supportive roles and equipment requests.
Mechanical: Supported a 15 AAV Platoon as the only certified mechanic (a position usually held by 4 mechanics) while acting as Section Leader. Improving vehicle operational readiness from 10% operational to 50% operational over a 4 week period. Simultaneously assisting in the testing of experimental diagnostic system installed in vehicles requiring a high operational tempo with an emphasis on mechanically correct systems for proper diagnostic test results.
Training & Development: Completed 53 non-resident courses on military studies, basic lower-level equivalency courses and various trade skills such as welding, electrical system repair and turbine engine repair.
Achieved black belt certification in the Marine Corps Martial Arts Program
Attained Secret security clearance by NACLC, valid through 2023.
