To whom it may Concern,

I’m writing this letter to help give you a very clear picture of what kind of leader you can expect to get in
hiring my friend and former colleague Daniel Leman for any Project Manager, Coordinator or related
Fiber position!

I was privileged to work with Dan for over 3 years when we both worked at San Diego Gas and Electric.
During that time we both worked on the massive Sunrise Powerlink 1Mv backbone transmission line and
supporting substation deployments in addition to many other Substation and Grid Operations fiber
projects supporting IT and Grid Operations Command and Control systems. These included: SONET to
DWDM OC-3/OC-48 long-haul Fiber backbone migration and substation fiber installation for JMUX and
SEL systems Tie-Line relays and Polyphaser projects. As PM, Dan ensured that ALL of our fiber was
procured, deployed and tested to SDG&E specs for each of these crucial projects on time, every time!

Dan is one of those rare people who truly coordinates and conducts all facets of a major project while
listening to and articulating the voice of that project by seamlessly delegating and coordinating
resources while managing the issues that arise between stakeholders and business groups on large
complex projects. Simply put, the man gets stuff done and does it with flair, accuracy and attention to
detail all while ensuring and promoting an atmosphere of inclusion and collaboration between teams
and business units. He keeps multiple project streams on task, minimizes scope creep all while ensuring
all budgetary expectations and deployment timelines are consistently held in check.
