I am Currently in the United States Marine Corps working in a supervisor/foreman position. Day to day operations consist of the handling of tools (construction and maintenance), and ensuring the readiness of all vehicles and personnel. When operating my job, I handle vertical construction, basic carpentry, and operation and maintenance of military vehicles. I am currently in charge of a full platoon consisting of 35 Marines. This requires the readiness of a safe work environment, and the responsibility of checking that all Marines in platoon are wearing personal protective equipment. During the work week, I conduct over 5 hours of safety and risk management classes, to ensure readiness and prevent work related accidents. I have over 300 hours of experience operating 5 different military vehicles, and over 3 years of Combat Construction experience in Hellmand Province Afghanistan.
