Essential Duties and Responsibilities includes RF Design and Site Survey (Passive and Active). RF Spectrum Analysis of the 2.4 and 5.8 GHz frequency ranges wireless solutions provides high network availability by creating a multi-functional wireless mesh. WiFi deployment, authentication, Network administration(WLC’s, Cisco switches, AP’s, Gateways, DMZ,ASA,). Static address Gateway, Access Point, Vlans, TCP-IP, DNS, DHCP,Trunk port and interface configuration on wireless devices, WLC link test, create a network overview drawings of WiFi, coverage drawings with AP locations. Respond to customer inquiries, questions and issues by diagnosing problems and providing the most appropriate technical solution in an accurate and timely manner RF Network Security WPA standard that uses 802.11 b/g/n/a uses TKIP and WEP 128bit encryption key and prevent an attacker from capturing and altering or foregoing data packets. This include cabling (Fiber and Ethernet cat 5, cat6), cable termination to patch panel, crimp Ethernet cable RJ45, RJ11, rack and stack in a cabinet, switches, routers and CSU/DSU,T1’s ,DS3, OC12,Sonet Ring, TIA/EIA, documentation bill of materials, Visio Diagram, Optimization Strategies Design.

Site Lead Wireless Engineer

Conducting Indoor / outdoor Cisco Wireless Antenna to collect RF data and to perform AP’s permanently installed in their locations. Making a decision that propagation of frequency signals to reach and covers within the boundary of a given school parameter. Conducting the site survey using tools such as a laptop with Cisco Aironet 802.11 a/b/g/n wireless adapter, Airmagnet Professional software v.6 , A.P. Cisco switch, directional or bi-directional antenna and Air Magnet Professional Software to determine accurate placement, justifying and optimizing coverage of signal strength of an antenna for every designated Access Point. Tuning and adjusting will allow the proper location of a hot spot and the right distance between each access point should be design in such a way that each channel should not have any noise interference and no conflict of frequency. I have the ability to design, troubleshoot a difficult task, solving the problem and completing the project before the deadline. Design cabling (Fiber and Ethernet cat 5, cat6), cable termination to patch panel, crimp Ethernet cable RJ45, RJ11, rack and stack in a cabinet, switches, routers and CSU/DSU,T1’s ,DS3, OC12, Sonet Ring, TIA/EIA 568a / 568b, documentation bill of materials, Visio Diagram, Optimization Strategies Design.

Jr. Wireless Network Engineer

Under general supervision of the Lead Planning Engineer responsible for installation, and support of network communications for LANs and/or WANs. Works on problems of diverse scope where analysis of situation requires evaluation and judgment. Other responsibilities include evaluation of the current systems, assisting in the planning of large scale systems projects through vendor comparison and cost studies requiring thorough knowledge of LAN/WAN systems, networks and applications. Surveying wired and wireless networks and equipment, including RF survey. Travel to work locations that vary week-to-week. Knowledge of and experience with RF survey, requiring design and installation. Has experience with Air Magnet Surveyor and/or LAN Planner tool. Able to determine the optimal number and placement of WLAN Infrastructure devices which to provide the best coverage and throughput require by the users in cost effective way. Using Air Magnet Survey Professional software, will allow Multi floor data display and analysis and indoor and outdoor site survey. Survey reports, Active tools, Map point integration, calculating WLAN parameters. I have the ability to perform channels SSID, and power simulation to evaluate and design multiple AP signal coverage, to determine noise level, and channel Interference.

Data Communication Technician
Working with a team of Field Technicians whose main project was to update and modernize the communication technology of the different schools within the Los Angeles Unified School District by performing installation of Cisco wireless switches including copper and fiber optic cables on a daily basis. Provide troubleshooting expertise by testing the connectivity of the installed fiber cable from the fiber box to the Cisco switches and making sure that all switches are connected to the Main Distribution Facilities. Other job performing and troubleshooting client circuits DSO(56k),T1, DS3, T3 level, point to point. Performing end to end test on circuits tx / rx blocks on DSO levels ,troubleshooting on interface and configuring DTE and DCE port on rs232/ 422 / 530 level setup. Setting up broadcast and back link on T1 level and looping client remote (NIU) network interface unit (Dmarc) to extended (Dmarc) csu.
