Military (most recent to past) Feb. 24, 2006- Current

Certified Instructor at Ohio Regional Training Institute for military heavy and medium tactical vehicle training.
Completed a full eight-year contract in the Ohio Army National Guard as a inspired leader within two great transportation companies, and just started on 24th of February, 2014, another contract for an additional six years.
10 years experience managing multidisciplinary operations with increased responsibility in technology/ maintaining a Secret Clearance.
Actively directed the safe and efficient operation of one of Afghanistan’s major transportation security assignments/ responsible for the inspection of Local National drivers before entering either of two Entry Control Points (E.C.P) of Kandahar Airfield (KAF) during deployment as a part of Operation Enduring Freedom.

Civilian Experience

Tower Technician II (SACW) May 4, 2015 – Current

Due to lack of work, and a lack of hours available for employees, BSPS invited a competitor in the industry to recruit their employees. With that I was employed with SAC Wireless; went through recertification training; recruited to the New Jersey/ New York market. Certified through Anritsu for both P.I.M. and Sweep testing. The Tower Technician II was my role in many Verizon builds/upgrades in the New Jersey/ New York market. Some of my completed work included fixing faults throughout Pennsylvania that my company’s subcontractors made. Completed several decommissions of Metro PCS sites in the New Jersey/ New York market, on rooftops, cell towers and water towers.

Tower Technician (BSPS) May 5, 2014 – May 07, 2015

Brought into the skill trade under a military program called Military to Lead for a company fairly new to the cell portion of communication. Employed with Bluestream Professional Services where there were many opportunities for extra training. Going through the training to become a lead after excelling in the training that was mandatory for all. Spent many hours daily learning easier ways to operate Kaelus AP PIM( Passive Intermodulation) gear. Learned the ins and outs of JDSU fiber power/ fiber scoping, as well as cable DTF(distance to fault) and RL( return loss). Filled out many JHA(job health assessment) forms, assisted my actual lead in close-outs, labeling photos, updating serial number verification forms, mostly AT&T close-outs. Climbed numerous monopoles, self supported, and guy towers, and some rooftops while maintaining within safety regulations of 100% tie off. Handled Anritsu gear long enough to understand and compare it to the gear that I had extensive training on, long enough to know that the biggest difference is the fact that Anritsu supports higher power output, along with a series of different operational buttons. Very familiar with Andrews ret controller software AClite as well as the hardware with it. From warehouse duties (moving / shelving pallets with forklifts, recording inventory, cleaning, general maintenance, etc.), to actual tower work (installing cell phone antennas, troubleshooting networks, collecting equipment data, operating complex technology, as well as conducting safety briefings prior to any work) excelling in a position was / is always the motive, to become a competent asset for any employer.

Part-time Firefighter Aug. 28, 2013- Current

Recently completed training to become firefighter 1 certified, currently hold a part-time position for the City of Oberlin, previously recieved a certificate for completing the volunteer firefighter portion of training. As a firefighter we do numerous classes on ladder safety, life safety, and property conservation as well as many other precautions while working. Firefighters are trained to wear the proper personnel protective equipment (PPE). We are also trained to the standard on lifting safety.

Buildings and Grounds Jun. 12, 2013- Dec. 13, 2013

I held a seasonal/part-time position with the Buildings and Grounds Department of the City of Oberlin. With the obtained Light Equipment Operator position title there were many general tasks that we completed that are symmetrical to the essential job functions in any field of work. With a very versatile duty roster I managed support for local events which consisted of transporting/setting up risers, garbage cans, picnic tables, etc. Cleaning gutters, changing bulbs, cutting grass, moving mulch, pouring concrete, and many other general functions were also a part of this seasonal position.

OSHA Certified

I recently completed and received a certificate for a 10-hour Occupational Safety and Health course that was given by an OSHA Instructor. Which briefly demonstrated the proper techniques to go about working on scaffolds, roofs, ladders, as well as the suggested ways to lift, work power tools, and etc.

Education

Progression towards a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Akron presented a chance for me to do a lot of hands on activities/ grasp an in depth understanding of mathematics and computer skills, and the connection between these two subjects and robotics.

Lorain County Urban League

As an Independent Contractor for the Lorain County Urban League, working with both adults and children, I had the opportunity serve the community as a part of a health program assistant. Working as an assistant I worked with people from all different backgrounds, taking orders/ and giving directions, building cohesion between different groups of people all for the purpose of completing tasks.
