Independent Web Content Consultant- (February 2017 to Present)

Currently under contract to Appen performing web evaluation using Excel spreadsheets or an annotation tool. I review and rate web content, using a web application to support the measurement of search data relevance. I utilize detailed criteria to evaluate online web content.

Asbury Theological Seminary – “Voices” (March 2016 – May 2016)

In performance of my practicum for my major, I was a features writer for the Asbury Theological Seminary e-publication, “Voices”. This e-publication is a compilation of Asbury Theological Seminary graduates from around the world that give testimony to their work in spreading the Gospel. I took basic background information that was provided by the various alumni and turn it into a readable narrative that better explains their work and how it connects to the Mission of Asbury Theological Seminary. Some articles, depending on content, are also published in the official Asbury Theological Seminary magazine, “The Asbury Herald.”

I performed research to frame questions that may not be immediately evident to better obtain information from the various respondents.

Asbury University – “The Asbury Review” (August 2015 – May 2016)

Worked together with a team of reviewers and was a primary reviewer that specialized in different areas of review subjects.

Assisted in editing.

Engaged in dialogue over ideas on how to organize the review.

Examined material such as poems and works of fiction and non-fiction.

Looked at and analyzed artwork that was submitted to my group of the review.

Organized events to recruit other students outside our department to partake in writing.

Asbury University – Edit./Publish./Design (August 2015 – November 2015)

Worked together with a team of students to create a magazine for our class.

Overlooked and analyzed material to see if there were no errors along with checking if content was consistent along with keeping track of the work schedules for all that was involved in out team.

Viewed and gave presentations on what it takes to make a magazine.

Helped propose ideas for new material along with assigning work to the right positions.

Chief Production Manager for the class magazine. As such, I disseminated essential information in a timely manner to the appropriate staff members. I would set schedules, milestones, and deadlines. I would follow up and ensure all staff members met their respective deadlines and submitted complete works. I acted as a liaison between the printing company and the magazine staff members to ensure technical specifications were accurate.
