At Petzl America I worked as the Manager of the Petzl Technical
Institute. My work at Petzl required a thorough understanding of all of
the applicable standards that Petzl equipment is designed to meet.

At Petzl America I worked directly under our Technical Director. I would
recruit new clients to come into Petzl to take assorted trainings on a

work practices, rescue systems, risk management and standards
compliance. My positions required and thorough understanding of a
variety of standards and industries (ANSI, CSA, CE, EN, ACCT, ASTM,
NATE, NFPA, OSHA, UIAA)
Bonsai Design Inc.
At Bonsai Design Inc. I worked as the Training and Operations
Department Director , the Safety and Standards Compliance Officer and
Senior Operations Consultant. I managed a staff of 25 persons.

I work directly under the CEO and President of the company. I work as a
consultant for BDI clients helping them to set up their business for
success in many areas, including marketing, staffing and facilitation and
standards compliance . I have also continued to develop the BDI Training
Department, including their operations manuals, curriculums and all other
supporting documentations. This program was recently reviewed and
approved by the ACCT as the first Professional Vendor Member (PVM)
accredited Canopy Tour Training Program in the entire ACCT
organization. I spend 8 to 10 months of the year on the road, doing initial

site visits, offering BDI recommendations as to partnerships with potential
clients, preforming trainings and acting as an above stated consultant. I
oversee course design, braking systems and facilitation systems. The
projects that I manage range from small “mom and pap” shop type
businesses’ to organizations with $400,000,000 budgets. I also work to
ensure that BDI remains compliant with all associated standards bodies
(OSHA, ANSI, ASTM, ACCT, ACA etc). I also work as the Chief Safety
Officer, preforming risk management review for each work site as well as
other managers and employees individually. I also work very closely with
out gear vendors, such as Petzl, French Creek and Zip Stop, creating
designs for new innovative products.
Nicros Climbing Walls, Vertical Endeavors, V.E.G.A
At Nicros I worked as a trainer, traveling around to new climbing wall
installations sites and teaching trainings to staff and managers. While at Nicros
I assisted with the opening and training of 65 climbing facilities. The training
types varied from basic programing classes to in depth risk management
practices. I was also sent out as a consultant on the behalf of Nicros to create
programs and curriculum for these new sites. At Vertical Endeavors I worked
as a Facility Manager for their location in Naperville, IL. My duties included,
hiring, staff evaluations, teaching of all program types, route setting, payroll,
budgetary accuracy , marketing planning, staff evaluations, rescue training and
many others. Working with V.E.G.A I worked as a Full Rock Guide, teaching
and guiding courses and climbing trips. The classes would range from simple
anchor construction, to single partner rope rescue, to professional guide
certification as Top Rope Site Managers and Multi Pitch Rock Guides. These
classes were taught all over the US in places such as Devils Tower, Red Rock,
the Red River Gorge and Yosemite.
BackRoads Adventure Company
At Backroads I worked as both Trip Leader and Chef. Backroads
organizes and leads multisport adventure trips all around the world with an
emphasis on cycling. My duties included client management, group
logistics and risk management, bike repair, cooking of 5 star meals for up
to groups of 35. Trip would last on average about six days. During thins
time we would work independently in a remote wilderness setting.

in the Utah and Alaska areas while working with Backroads and loved
both equally
University of California San Francisco Outdoor Programs
At UCSF I worked as Head Guide and Instructor. Teaching things such as
a climbing, backpacking, team building facilitation and ocean kayaking.
UCSF ran most day and weekend trips for mostly students, though they
were open to the public. My duties included trip prep, medical screening,
