Finance -AP Manager
Responsible for coordinating the daily activities of the AP Department to ensure the efficient processing of Accounts Payable while maintaining our service level agreement (SLA). Finance -Freight Payables Manager (Jan 2009-Nov 2013)
Responsible for managing the freight payables process and freight pay team to ensure carriers are being paid properly within prescribed payment terms. Provide timely input, direction, coaching, development, and leadership to team members to facilitate efficient invoice processing and root cause identification. Responsible for communication and timely feedback directly with 350+ freight carriers, Logistics, and Transportation departments. Responsible for managing the re-engineering of the payables process to coincide with the Lean Logistics system upgrade.
Achieved the lowest Outstanding Freight Payables Exception balance on record from a previous $7.4M in 2009 to a balance of under $1M for the past four consecutive years (FY13)
Manage weekly payments in the range of $5-6M to over 326 carriers that include multiple transportation modes including OTR, Dedicated, Ocean, IM and Asset Recovery (FY13)
Supported the implementation of the LEAN Rate Upload process that saved 15-20hrs of manual data entry (FY12)
Exceeded customer expectation by resolving 65%+ of over 2,600 POD request in less than 24hrs-(FY12)
