Laboratory/Outreach Intern, Kachemak Bay Research Reserve: Homer AK August 2014 - December 2014
- Managed lab and field equipment/processes to test for salinity, temperature, turbidity and chemical toxicity
- Developed/maintained the first extensive water quality monitoring project in Kachemak Bay, AK in collaboration
with marine biology experts
- Conducted community outreach and environmental education to students K-12 on the importance of coastal
environmental conservation and invasive species management

- Responsible for scheduling, managing, and leading a diverse student staff of over 30 to accommodate the 9,000
events hosted in our 7 different venues annually
- Facilitated the merging of two staffs and organized projects to increase conversion efficiency, event quality, and

- Managed a thesis project in regards to sea grass abundance in relation to Diopetra tube worms
- Collected, processed, and logged samples appropriately in accordance to project guidelines

Diopatra Tubes” in respect to the Center for Marine Science, UNCW

Stranding Respondent, FWS/NOAA: Homer AK August 2014 - December 2014
- Surveyed beaches for marine mammal stranding events
- Responded to sea otter stranding events on the coasts of the Kenai Peninsula
- Collected stranded animals and authored case reports on stranding events
- Conducted marine mammal necropsies under the supervision of wildlife biology experts
