I am responsible for the JV project management with USACE, AED South in Tarin Kowt, Uruzgan Province, Afghanistan.
The project consists of a new Garrison for the ANA 4th Brigade, 215th Corp, designed to accommodate 4,700 troops in
this command. This project is located in a high risk area of the country. This garrison project consists of new Brigade HQ
Kandak, GSU Kandak, CS/RCC Kandak, CSS Kandak, Infantry Kandak, and other common facilities such as all waste water
treatment plant, support facilities (communications, power plant/substation/backup generator systems, water and
fueling systems), utilities, roadway networks using RCC methods and infrastructure under a design build concept
utilizing Arch-Span and CMU types of construction. My duties as the Project Manager for the Joint Venture are the
overall management of the project, design, and construction. Liaison between all parties and with the Australian
Command of Camp Holland, Afghan National Army and the US Corp of Engineers. This project is valued at approx. $54
million.
