Tower Tech 2 (Top Hand), United Wireless / Goodman Networks (client: AT&T & T-Mobile)
• On-site supervision of all related construction activities defined in the scope-of-work.
• Responsible for site crew quality, timeliness, accuracy and schedule.
• Lead work on tower top, looking after all aspects of work while at the tower top, ensuring that a quality installation has been performed, including rigging, hoisting, landing, fastening, load-hopping, etc.
• Installation of up-top equipment including masts, clamping, bracing, supports, antennas, RRUs, cabling, bolting, tuning up, shooting proper azimuth within tolerances, reading maps and a compass, torque to spec, labeling, picture-taking, documentation, plumb and tilt readings with smart level, etc.
• Perform coax, fiber, lines, and hybrid cable installation, connector installation, sweep and testing assisting, weather proofing, color-coding, labeling, etc. connect coax feed-lines and jumpers per piping diagrams, and support and fasten adequately for a quality, lasting installation.
• Do grounding, terminations, fastening, proper bolting and antioxidant use, support of leads, cad-welding as required, etc.
• Assist on overall job on ground work as well, all tasks required to build and install a site per customer specs, maintain safe work environment, daily use and completion of JSA forms, assisting with overall crew work, maintenance of vehicles and equipment, etc.
• Read drawings, piping diagrams, job specifications, mounting specs, testing procedures, etc.
• Ability to climb towers (500 feet or less) and work at some heights in conjunction with antenna installation and maintenance.
• Collect all on-site closeout documentation/picture and submit to the closeout package.
• Review all on-site closeout documentation for accuracy, completeness and timeliness.
Microwave Technician:
• Knowledge in concepts, characteristics, capabilities and theoretical design of microwave radio equipment as well as sophisticated electronic equipment.
• Ability to design and build equipment racks, antenna mounts and cabling devices.
• Experience in construction microwave disk, installing, path alignment and troubleshoot.
• Some knowledge of the practices, methods, equipment, tools and materials used in microwave systems testing, repair and maintenance work.
