Experienced Safety Manager -Tower Industry -Full time_Yaphank

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Safety Manager to join our team in the Telecommunications Tower Industry. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in rigging operations, tower construction, and OSHA compliance, with a proven ability to develop, implement, and oversee comprehensive safety programs across multiple job sites.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain site-specific safety programs and policies in accordance with OSHA and industry standards.
• Conduct daily job hazard analyses (JHAs), toolbox talks, and site inspections.
• Create and review rigging plans and ensure compliance with all fall protection and lift procedures.
• Lead accident investigations, root cause analyses, and corrective action plans.
• Train and mentor field crews on safe work practices, PPE use, and emergency procedures.
• Maintain all required documentation including incident reports, training records, and safety audits.
• Collaborate with project managers and field supervisors to ensure a culture of safety and operational efficiency.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years of safety management experience in the Tower or Telecommunications industry.
• Strong knowledge of rigging, crane and hoisting operations, and fall protection systems.
• Certified in OSHA 30 (Construction) – additional certifications such as Competent Climber, Rescue Certified, or Rigging & Signal Person preferred.
• Familiarity with NATE, and OSHA standards.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to travel to multiple sites as required.

Preferred Skills

• Experience writing and implementing rigging and rescue plans.
• Knowledge of RF awareness and hazard controls.
• Proficiency in using safety management software and digital reporting tools.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus
