2015 - 2016

Employee/Driver,  Nehring Auto (Newton, IA)

Worked at an auto shop that included U-Haul rentals, used car sales, service calls, and towing. Towing involved being on call for multiple companies, along with the police department, 24/7. Along with the automobile business, my employer would purchase “run down” properties and fix them up to sell/rent. This is where I gained experience working efficiently under little to no supervision. Responsibilities included: covering phone calls for the towing aspect of the business, prompt and efficient turnaround times for tow clients, customer service dealing with U-Hauls and impounds, various work on automobiles and tow trucks, housing remodeling, and organizing/cleaning the shop.

2014 - 2015

Employee,  AR Fence Company (North Liberty, IA)

Worked on a 3-4 man crew to install, repair, and remove residential and commercial fences. This is where I gained some experience working at heights by installing guard rails/fences on roofs. Other responsibilities included mapping out the best routes for the fence to travel, following a certain routine for constructing fence, lifting multiple 80 pound concrete bags, running heavy machinery, and working with and on a team.

2014

Employee,  Krafka Lawn and Landscape (Solon, IA)

Worked on a 3-4 man work crew doing anything from painting football fields to building small fire pits. Also part of a 2 man mowing crew. This is where I gained experience in unsupervised work, as I was given a truck and trailer, mower, and list of properties with a set time to get them all done by. Other responsibilities included prepping/preparing the trucks and equipment we were going to use that day, variety of lawn and landscaping jobs, lifting objects weighing more than 50 lbs., working in front of customers, and driving around equipment and other coworkers.
