I was in charge of overseeing the proper operation, maintenance and training of electronic technicians for field crews at C&J Energy’s Fracturing department. I performed routine inspections on equipment and instructed the technicians on proper procedures for calibrating and maintaining all equipment pertaining to electronics. When I was working with Research and Technology, I was tasked with the testing of equipment that was either newly built or refurbished. I would make recommendations for further equipment that would improve the productivity of the units in the field. I also conducted training and support to technicians under my supervision to ensure they were capable of handling any problems out in the field. I am certified as a Radiation Safety Officer through Thermo Fisher. As an RSO, the position required me to maintain an accurate inventory of all radiation units and conduct surveys and inspections of all radiation equipment to ensure that we operated within safety and legal limits. I am familiar with various platforms of Windows and Microsoft Office. I work well with computers and troubleshoot electronic problems down to the component level. I am quite comfortable with reading schematics, technical manuals and have been trained to solder surface mounted technology. I am familiar with various proprietary software such as Accufrac, Lime Instruments software, ProLink, Firmware loader and hyper terminal.

KRIS Communications, KRIS Corpus Christi, TX Broadcast Engineer 5/06-6/11

I maintained and repaired many different types of broadcast equipment including tape machines, cameras, video and audio routers, switchers and computers. I also maintained and repaired six low-power UHF transmitters along with a full-powered VHF analog transmitter. I troubleshot electronic problems to a component level on a daily basis. I also entered and maintained a database filled with pertinent information on repair techniques and equipment inventory within our television broadcast station.

Texas Television Inc., KIII Corpus Christi, TX Broadcast Engineer 6/01-4/06

Maintenance, calibration, and repair on many different types of broadcast equipment were among the primary duties performed at KIII. Other responsibilities included computer troubleshooting, minor phone line repairs and installation of wiring used in audio and video transmissions. Shading of cameras and tuning-in live shots via transmitting satellite antennas were also done daily.

South Texas Public Broadcasting Systems, KEDT Corpus Christi, TX Broadcast Engineer 3/00-4/02

The performance of maintenance, calibration, and repair on all broadcast equipment including DAT machines, BETA machines, routers, computers, and switch boards as related to broadcasting and transmission. Other duties include the logging of meter readings and conducting repairs on both FM and TV broadcast transmitters as needed. Daily requirements ranged from routine building maintenance to assisting in the fine-tuning of a 100kw FM Continental transmitter.

Primary responsibilities at Solectron were the troubleshooting of Cisco server boards to component level Testing, X-raying, and soldering components onto such boards and entering data into the company’s mainframe. I received proper classes on soldering surface mounted technology. In addition, the company entrusted me with the duty of writing an operators training manual. I was presented with a “S.M.A.R.T.” award for implementing a more efficient method of handling and repair of a component, on most boards, that saved the company in excess of $500,000 per year.

Manpower @ GE Medical Systems San Antonio, TX Field Engineer Intern 4/98-5/99

Duties included the calibration of monitors to precise levels of luminance and the troubleshooting of various different aspects of a LAN environment. Other tasks included soldering circuit boards to component level, restoring software within the network, servicing hardware within each workstation and some repair of fiber-optic cable.
