I was employed at Westower under the Job Title of Tower Tech III, however, they should have called me a sweep tech. I would mobilize from site to site, running Kaelus PIM testing gear and Anritsu S331E model sweep gear. Not once did I have a site that had been swept or PIMed by me fail integration, nor any type of VSWR or Return Loss Alarms.

Accomplishments
Installs, maintains, repairs, removes, or retrofits antenna systems equipment and power systems (e.g. antennas, microwave dishes, feedlines, ice shields, etc.), sometimes under adverse conditions (e.g., high towers, inclement weather, remote sites, etc.) to maintain operational communications throughout the statewide network using safety equipment and hand, power, and specialty tools.
Operates construction equipment (e.g. ditch witch, 4-wheel drive vehicles, hydraulic/electric winches, fork-lifts, etc.) to dig holes, inspect guy wire anchors, load/unload communications equipment and supplies, and install/remove communications equipment using safety equipment and clothing, and hand tools (e.g., hard hat, seat belt, etc.).
Plans, surveys, and organizes the construction and installation of communication towers and sites to expand communications coverage in the state using standard office equipment (e.g. mainframe/personal computer, FAX, photocopier, etc.), various schematics and drawings (e.g. blueprints, Pert and Gantt charts, etc.).
Reads, reviews, and updates tower documentation files to gain information and develop a knowledge base of antenna/tower systems using various logs, manuals, and written procedures.

I came in to ACCLLC as a green hand, however, within 2 months I was classified as a Tower Tech I. I learned how to Sweep lines and antennas, climb a tower, and how to maneuver a Capstan Winch with precision.

Accomplishments
Climbs and works on communications towers for the purpose of installing, replacing, and repairing antenna systems equipment; performs tower maintenance.
Fabricates metal support brackets and support structures using welding equipment.
Keeps records and assures that maintenance is performed on all trucks and construction equipment.

Ahhh... My first Job. I began as anyone else did, knowing nothing. Within 2 years, I was reading site blueprints, interpreting them, and helping to run the crews. I was responsible for making sure everything we installed was perfect, as the trim, doors, and hardware is seen by everyone that enters the buildings.

Began my employment career with a sharp mind and a strong body.
Learned the basics of construction, along with some more advanced techniques for getting the job done correctly, the first time.
Rose up and proved myself time and time again.
