Deploy Infinera DTN 1.6 terabytes systems which provides high bandwidth, low latency optical transport over a DWDM network architect (land or subsea) for MSO‘s and private digital networks for major telecom companies within a CDN environment. Performed work in colocation data facilities and customer owned facilities.
Essential Functions:
Contact and meet with client’s to discuss work schedule and any concerns that may exist.
Engage in weekly conferences between all parties involved to discuss any issues or concerns that could potentially affect work schedule or completion of job.
Perform inventory of all equipment and transport to site as needed.
Perform installation of DWDM equipment in customer’s premise or within colocation data centers. Installed chassis’s, amplifiers, digital line cards, tributary optical modules, fibers and all related equipment as per EDP and within scheduled time frame.
Connect DC power cables to assigned BDFB locations, tested voltage to assure it was within equipment specification and energize equipment during maintenance window as per EDP.
Perform configuration and provisioning of installed line modules and multiplexers by hyper-terminal connection and http protocol. Set up BER testing using EXFO FTB 500 for 72 hour monitoring and also perform receiver sensitivity testing on tributary optical modules to ensure thresholds are within specified ranges.
Provide daily reports to Program Manager for distribution to all necessary parties.
Provide redline as-built documentation to Engineering group.

Completed Infinera’s DTNX Test and Turn-up course (12/16/12) and received certificate of completion. Completed AT&T Supplier Awareness and ASK YOURSELF courses and received certifications.
