I have been in this career field for 17 years. I have climbed and worked aloft on both stepped and unstepped poles, guyed and self supporting towers and a monopole antennas. I have installed VHF, UHF, Log periodic antennas, aligned and removed microwave dishes and wave guides both flexible and rigid. I have developed and taught tower rescue to over 115 personnel in the 85 Engineering Istallation Squadron (EIS) after certification at Shephard AFB, TX.

Quality Assurance Certification
I have attended 40 hr lecture course for Quality Assurance member. Lecture described types of evaluation technical and personal and how to document deficiencies within the work centers. As a QA member I was managing five key unit managed additional duties, Hazardous Material, Safety, Technical Orders, Training, Technical and personnel evaluations.
Tower Certifier Training
This course trains students to perform duties related to instructing individuals on tower climbing certification techniques. The individuals will receive training on the certification process as well as certifier responsibilities. They will also learn how to develop lesson plans on tower climbing and also written tests. These will be tailored to the towers which are located at the individual's location. Finally the individuals will be instructed on how to evaluate an individuals climbing. Upon graduation the individuals will receive a diploma signifying they can be tower certifiers.
Tower Climbing Training
This course trains students to perform duties related to tower climbing and rescue procedures. The individuals will receive training on the proper methods to ascend, descend on towers, antennas, and extended height structures. The will also learn how to inspect climbing equipment and tie an assortment of knots and hitches used by tower maintenance personnel. Finally, the attendees will be instructed on how to evaluate an individual's condition and perform tower rescue as needed. Upon graduation, the individuals will receive a diploma signifying they are certified and capable of tower climbing and performing tower rescue procedures. The unit can then authorized these individuals to perform climbing duties.
Antenna Transition Course
This course porvided training in: Antenna contruction fundamentals, installation of GP-1 tower and Parabolic Disches, Rotatable Log Periodic (RLP) AS-3428/GRC Antennas, and Transmission Lines and Connectors.
