My work history has been in various management and quality positions. I have worked as a department Lead person and a department supervisor in a manufacturing facility and a supervisor and quality engineer in a distribution facility.
I worked at Wix Filters in Gastonia, NC from 1981 to 2014.
02/2012 to 08/2014.
I was a Quality Engineer at the Wix Master Distribution Center. I was responsible for quality management and adhering to quality standards for in-coming product and customer product. I have experience dealing with the facilities in China, Mexico, Poland and Brazil with their quality issues and concerns.
I was responsible for investigating quality issues at the main distribution center and an off-site warehouse.
I worked with 30 different suppliers of purchase filters on their quality and adherence to Wix standards.
06/2003 to 02/2012.
I was a Supervisor at the main Wix shipping facility, MDC. I managed 50 to 60 team members in seven different departments. Two of these departments were forklift receiving groups. I coordinated receiving and shipping in the facility during shift operations.
The second shift team I had was the least experience group. Temporary staff was around 20%. This situation helped me to strengthen my management skills.
From 2003 to 2005 there were two supervisors on this shift. The company went to one supervisor. I managed this group from 2005 to 2012 as the only supervisor.
05/2000 to 06/2003.
I was the department supervisor at the main Wix production facility in Gastonia, NC. I was responsible for team members on all three shifts in an in-process parts warehouse. I was also responsible for an offsite warehouse. I coordinated and managed all receiving and issuing of in-process parts on all three shifts.
During the first year Wix shutdown their facility in the mid-west and I helped with the moving of this facilities in-process parts to our main facility and the offsite warehouse.
I worked from 8AM to 5PM. I would come in at night on occasions from 9PM to 12AM to spend time with my third shift group.
06/1999 to 05/2000.
I was a supervisor at the main Wix shipping facility, MDC. I was responsible for receiving and shipping in this facility. I was responsible for 27 to 30 team members during this time.
I moved from the manufacturing facility to the company distribution center when I was placed in the company’s new supervisor training group.
06/1986 to 06/1999.
I held the position of Lead Person at the main manufacturing facility for Wix Filters in Gastonia, NC. I was responsible for receiving and issuing in-process parts to production lines. I was also responsible for delivering and receiving in-process parts to other facilities during third shift operations by driving a tractor and trailer to these facilities.
CDL license reactivated on 8/28/15.
During this period, the company had two Lead Persons in Parts Control and the Stockroom. The Stockroom lead person position was eliminated and I took over both departments on the third shift.

I was a locator at the main Wix manufacturing facility in Gastonia, NC. I was responsible for receiving in-process parts from fabrication departments, locating these parts and pulling parts for the production lines.
This is the position I started driving a stand-up forklift and sit-down forklift.
