PROJECT EXPERIENCE

Selected the promoter of mTOR(Mammalian target of rapamycin protein)and established the eukaryotic expression vector.
Establishment the cell cultural system in the Immunology and Molecular Biology Laboratory of Jilin Agricultural University.
Establishment of tumor cell drug screening model by the target of mTOR promoter
Surveys of foodborne and waterborne pathogens (STEC, Salmonella, Cryptosporidium) and indicator bacteria (e.g., E. coli) from domestic and wild animal feces and swabs, water, soil, sediment, fresh produce (e.g., tomatoes, lettuce).
Source tracking of foodborne pathogens by DNA fingerprinting
Monitoring antibiotic resistance/susceptibility of bacterial strains from environmental and clinical samples

SKILLS:

Three years experience of Cell Cultural Techniques, including different kinds of tumor-cell cultural and cells transfection.
Independently perform molecular techniques including nucleic acid extraction, traditional PCR, real-time PCR, Agarose Gel Electrophoresis
Experienced at PFGE and use of software GelCompare to conduct phylogenetic trees for molecular epidemiologic studies and analyze genetic relationships among bacterial strains
Perform biochemical test for Salmonella and Generic E.coli
Laboratory management including autoclaving biological waste, equipment maintenance, media preparing, managing inventory, ordering supplies and general laboratory cleaning.
Hands on skills of assay of bacteria susceptibility to antibiotics using Minimum Inhibitory Concentration (MIC) method.
Experiemnced at preparing GFP plasmid transferred E.coli and Salmonella competent cells.
Acid-fast stain and FITC-antibody label of Cryptosporidium oocystsLight and fluorescent microscopy for detection of Cryptosporidium.
Immunohistochemistry; Human genome extraction and quantitate from blood; ELISA; Genetics Engineering; Plant Tissue Culture; Culture of tumor cell and establishment of cellular drug screening model.
Languages: Chinese (native); English (foreign).
Computers: Proficiency in windows operating system; skilled in using office software such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.;Expericed in using Gel CompareII, knowledge of the index method of DNA STAR, Dna Man, Primer5.0and other biotechnology data bases.
