CITCA is a nationally recognized training academy, developed by a group of industry specialists, offering a complete line of college accredited tower erection and safety training programs directly related to the communications and wind turbine industries.

Through its affiliation with Kankakee Community College, students in the CITCA program can further their training either by receiving a Certificate in Tower Erection and Safety, and at the same time continue education with college credits applied toward a degree of higher learning. Whether you only need one or two industry specific required courses, or you choose to train your entire workforce, CITCA can meet all of your training needs.

Located in Illinois, with regional facilities in Alvarado, TX and Morgantown, WV, CITCA’s training facility at Kankakee Community College is fully equipped with the necessary training tools. There are plenty of classrooms, sufficient space for hands-on training, and a training tower located right on campus. Additionally, the campus is located conveniently close to the Greater Kankakee Valley Airport, several hotels, a major interstate, and a short 45 minute drive from Chicago.

In 2008, CITCA began providing wind turbine climbing and rescue training courses. By 2010, CITCA was providing this highly specialized training at wind farms and community colleges across the nation. In 2011, through a cooperative training partnership with Lake Land College in Mattoon, IL, CITCA’s Wind Turbine Rescue class became the first college accredited course of it’s type in the nation.

In March, 2012, ownership of CITCA was purchased by Steve Wilder and Chris Sorensen, and the company relocated from Champaign, IL to it’s permanent location in Bourbonnais, IL.
