The company founded in 1993, is a privately held corporation headquartered in Northern California. The management team has in excess of 35+ years combined telecommunications experience. While the management teams has a wide range of experince in the call center industry with the various switching platforms, the company is one of the few resources in the U.S. with Central Office (Centrex) ACD expertise.

In 1999 the company instituted a hosted Centrex ACD/MIS service for the State of California. This enabled the agencies to have all of the features of the VU-ACD/100 MIS to provide real-time stats, performance metrics and reporting capability at a fraction of the cost of owning the system. Since the inception there are now 20 plus agencies, and 500 plus agents utilizing this service.
PTel is featured on the CalNet contract as a Joint Marketing partner of AT&T to provide call center solutions for all California state agencies. And for those agencies that need to fulfill mandates for working with small business, the company is a Certified Small Business Enterprise.
