Tower Technician I

JHC Ventures is looking for a dedicated Tower Technician I to join our field services team. This is an entry-level technical role focused on the installation and maintenance of telecom systems. You will work closely with a crew to learn industry standards, perform daily climbs, and ensure site safety.

Key Responsibilities:

• Installation Support: Climb cell towers daily to assist in the installation, maintenance, and repair of antennas and equipment.
• Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to all health, safety, and environmental procedures.
• Tool Maintenance: Ensure the proper usage, cleaning, and storage of tools, equipment, and materials.
• Task Execution: Execute installation activities efficiently according to the Tower Foreman’s instructions.
• Issue Identification: Report any technical failures or safety hazards immediately for correction.
• Professional Development: Participate in ongoing training to master installation processes and safety protocols.

Qualifications:

• Experience: 0 to 1 year of experience in telecommunications or a similar field.
• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent; a focus on Telecommunications or Electronics is preferred.
• Certifications: NWSA Telecom Tower Technician 1 Certificate is preferred but not required at the time of hire.
• Safety: Must be able to obtain and maintain certifications in OSHA, CPR, First Aid, RF Awareness, and Tower Rescue.
• Physical Ability: Ability to climb towers daily and lift equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.
• License: Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record.
• Spanish proficiency is a plus.
