Administer the towns Fats Oil and Grease (FOG) and Backflow prevention programs to ensure compliance with all applicable local, state, and federal regulations. Ensuring that proper records are kept, inspection schedules and testing have been conducted in a timely manner. The department is in the processes of becoming accredited through the American Public Works Association (APWA) this processes revealed that the department was lacking significant amounts of written policy and procedures, was tasked with generating these documents. Development of the Departments Snow Removal Plan, Debris Removal Plan and Emergency Action Plan, develop and conducted Table-Top exercises to improve disaster preparedness of staff. Doing playground, fire extinguisher, and building inspections on a regular basis. Give tours and provide information on the history of the park to guests. Take well reading daily and take water samples to be tested by the health department. Maintain and repair water system throughout the park. Equipment used and maintained: tractors, bobcats, dump trucks, and forklifts. Serve as site safety officer plain and implement safety program providing safety training for park staff and volunteers.
