Core Competencies:
Illustrator: primarily responsible for operating multimedia-imaging equipment in order to produce visual displays and documents such as maps, illustrations, layouts, map overlays, posters, graphs and charts.
Electrical Engineering Technology:
Circuits I & II:
- Solve electrical circuit problems using Ohm’s Law and power laws.
- Analyze, construct and troubleshoot series circuits, parallel circuits, and series-parallel circuits.
- Use network theorems to build and analyze complex circuits.
- Use Multi-Sim, a program similar to CAD, to build and run electrical circuits.
Digital I & II:
- Demonstrate a working knowledge of number systems, binary codes, Boolean algebra;
- Use input/output functions of logic circuits including: AND, OR, NAND, NOR, NOR, exclusive OR, exclusive NOR, flip-flops, encoders, and decoders;
- Design, construct, and troubleshoot simple circuits using combinatorial and sequential logic;
- Select components based on design criteria;
- Prepare written lab reports in response to a lab assignment pertaining to digital logic circuits.
Devices I:
- Design zener regulated power supplies, and simple transistor amplifier circuits;
- Design simple diode circuits, including clippers, clampers and voltage
multipliers
- Design, construct and troubleshoot power amplifiers
- Modify prototype circuits to achieve design objectives
Hydraulics and Pneumatics:
- Able to design, troubleshoot, and perform maintenance.
Welding for Maintenance:
- Able to Stick, Mig, and Tig weld: Not Certified.
