Entry-Level Climber

Objective

I want to experience challenge within my profession and work, both academic and professional, and to function as a
member of a team to achieve greater goals and present myself as a strong example of my workplace agency. I wish
to never stop learning or having to adapt during my work, because that is how I gain personal satisfaction and help
move my agency forward.

Professional Experience

American Medical Response (AMR), Salem, NJ Dec 2007 - Apr 2008
Emergency Medical Technician - Basic (EMT-B)

As an EMT-B for one of the largest private medical transport companies in the country, I drove and inspected
ambulances as well as fulfilled my duties as an EMT, which for this company focused on emergency and standard
medical attention towards the elderly, work in nursing homes and psychiatric hospitals, and constantly working with
mentally and physically challenged patients on a daily basis. I worked full-time while attending college full-time as
well; the workdays would routinely last 8 to 15 hours a day, five days a week. I left this job for an occupation that
was much closer to home.

Mount Laurel Emergency Medical Service, Mount Laurel, NJ Jan 2006 - Feb 2009
Emergency Medical Technician - Basic (EMT-B)

I attended EMT school during August 2006 and would eventually maintain numerous volunteer hours per month at
the end of my work here, almost all being over-night shifts. My primary duties were emergency patient care and
transport, rescue assistance, documentation, cooperation with law enforcement and other emergency agencies, and

attending courses and classes to stay up-to-date with EMT-B skills and practices. Although I greatly enjoyed this
work, I resigned from the volunteer work to focus on school.
Bancroft Neurohealth, Voorhees, NJ Jan 2009- Present
Program Associate

Previous medical experience permitted me the opportunity to work full-time while completing my Bachelor’s degree
at a facility for developmentally-disabled as well as brain-injured adults. Working in-step with care plans arranged by
case managers and administrators and alongside occupational, physical, and cognitive therapists, I have worked as a
primary caregiver in the Brain Injury Program for half a dozen designated clients, helping them refine and achieve
goals, providing transportation, assisting with financial and medical documentation and obligations, navigating
problematic obstacles and barriers (public and private) in day-to-day life, preparing food, administering and
overseeing medications, addressing and maintaining varied forms of professional and state-reviewed documentation,
and availing my full energies and skills to their needs; it has been a highly demanding and highly satisfying
opportunity.
