Maintenance Manager

Manage operations, and maintenance for 350-450 events held annually at Selland Arena, William Saroyan Theatre, Valdez Hall, Radisson Conference Center, and Fresno Convention Center. Also responsible for maintenance and staffing of facilities. Supervise two managers, 25 full-time staff, and 200 part-time employees.

Scope of responsibilities includes:

Assist in developing and administering annual operating budget and preparing monthly budget reports for City.

Oversee facility risk management, conducting safety committee meetings, scheduling police and fire inspections prior to events, and ensuring emergency procedures and safety precautions are followed.

Schedule maintenance for facilities, systems, equipment, and vehicles.

Work with Director of Operation to prepare service agreements and negotiating vendor, union, contractor, and service provider contracts.

Initiate changes regarding environmentally sound practices to initiate “Go Green” service environment that includes a recycling program and use of safe chemicals and supplies.
Responsible for all aspects of facility maintenance.
Insure that all facility equipment is operating properly, efficiently, and is maintained in good condition.
Oversee employees that are responsible for general facility maintenance and proper delivery of event-related utility services.

MANAGEMENT / TELECOMMUNICATIONS 1981- 2007

Operations Manager/ Senior Project Manager
Responsible for AT&T F-2 Stabilization Project.
Managed 101 sites for deployment of new data circuit and equipment.
Planned, directed, designed, and facilitated the installation while coordinating activities surrounding the installation process of all retail accounts.
Responsible for all phases of project management work (planning, scheduling, budgeting, installing and commissioning) for LightPointe Communications’ Free Space Optics field projects.
Developed initial requirements and programs for Copper Mountain Networks’ authorized service providers.
Coordinated project planning for installation of large telecommunication facilities between WorldCom and inter-exchange carriers.
Managed engineering telecom services to ensure consistency with documented requirements for line provisioning.
Facilitated the completion of projects to upgrade information system hardware and software, utilizing our system development life cycle (SDLC).
Provided a single point of contact to Information System Services (ISS) Organization to support utilities, telecommunication and space requirements.
Responsible for the Network Management Center; supervised 10 data support engineers; provided support to vendors, local telephone companies, account teams and customers
