Tower Climber Boot Camp
PEAK Career Services offers weeklong NATE authorized training programs such as authorized & competent
climber/rescuer, OSHA 10, First Aid/CPR, and general industry safety. The technicians are also taught several industry
job specific tasks such as overhead lifting, weatherproofing, pipe mount assembly, capstan hoist (cathead), and rigging to
name a few. The training structure is an intense week of learning utilizing a classroom, indoor training lab, as well as over
36 hours of climbing on a monopole and a self-support tower.

Accelerated training on various aspects of mechanical, electrical, and technical skills required to safely troubleshoot,
diagnose, and service renewable energy and communication tower equipment with an emphasis on safety.

Jacobs Telecommunications Maintenance Crew Leader March 2014 – Present
● Responsible for maximizing crew efficiency with a focus on safety and profitability of the service projects through
effective site management and continuing to look for areas of improvement on all projects. Ultimately responsible and
accountable for all activities of the crew, equipment, and company resources.
● Maintained and enforced the Jacobs Beyond Zero safety program, ensuring daily job site safety plans are reviewed and
followed. Immediately stopped work when unsafe work practices or conditions existed.
●Installation and de-installation of transmission lines, connectors, antenna, and accessories ; and perform tower
maintenance. Troubleshooting systems to repair faults and improve performance for AT&T sites.
●Managed a crew of up to 3 additional employees with limited supervision.
● Responsible for bringing projects to completion on budget and on time in a quality manner.
● Prepare accurate documentation of time and expenses for self and crew and promptly provide to Project Manager daily.
United States Army Forward Signal Support NCO October 2010 – January 2014
● Improved overall efficiency of battalion operations by setting up, operating, and maintain three retransmission sites
during field training exercises.
● Trained and mentored 80 cadets at the United States Military Academy on radio operations; assisted in developing
future officers on critical decision making skills.
●Ensured all Soldiers followed safety guidelines during all major field training, resulting in zero accidents or injuries.
●Vast technical knowledge allowed the setup of SIPR/NIPR Access Points at two remote Joint Combat Operations Posts
during Operation Enduring Freedom 11-12.
● Continuously shared knowledge and experiences with subordinates; cross trained two Soldiers on the operation and
maintenance of the SIPR/NIPR Access Points
● Maintained accountability and ensured all equipment, valued in excess of $5,000,000, was 100% operational.
● Accepted role as Platoon Sergeant on numerous occasions, responsible for the training, welfare, and accountability of
up to 25 Soldiers.
United States Army Retransmission Team Chief May 2007 – Oct 2010
●Completed Satellite Terminal Trailer training, learning a different MOS entirely to bring flexibility and knowledge to the
unit.
●Selected out of 17 other Non-Commissioned Officers to be in charge of the Rifle Squad during a funeral detail. All
seven Soldiers on the squad received awards for their outstanding efforts.
●Trained 59 Soldiers on communication and deployment operations prior to deploying in support of Operation Iraqi
Freedom 08-10, which led to a successful completion by all attending Soldiers.
● Trained and mentored 7 Soldiers on Retransmission Systems, including several brand new Soldiers directly out of Basic
Training.
● Maintained 100% accountability of all assigned equipment, valued in excess of $1,500,000.
● Stressed Soldier and equipment safety, resulting in zero safety related accidents in the 3 years assigned as the Brigade
Retransmission Team Chief.
United States Army Signal Support Team Chief April 2006 – May 2007
● Developed new techniques for the installation of intercom systems in the new armored vehicles during Operation Iraqi
Freedom.
● Sought self-improvement by cross training on different jobs with the communications section to bring more flexibility
to the shop.
●Supervised a team of Soldiers in daily operations, including operation, installation, and maintenance of communications
equipment valued in excess of $1,000,000.
