Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced System Performance Technician (SPT) to support the performance, commissioning, optimization, and troubleshooting of Distributed Antenna Systems (DAS).

This position is responsible for maintaining and improving the performance of existing systems, executing performance plans, supporting the development of scopes of work (SOW), and providing technical assistance throughout system deployment. The System Performance Technician will also perform testing and acceptance of installed systems and work directly with internal teams and clients when required.

This role combines hands-on field work at customer venues with technical analysis and reporting and is ideal for a technician with strong DAS, RF testing, commissioning, optimization, and troubleshooting experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute and oversee DAS commissioning and optimization in accordance with client, OEM, and company standards.
  • Provide technical direction and support to construction and integration teams during installation and commissioning.
  • Perform troubleshooting, testing, and acceptance of installed DAS systems.
  • Interface with internal teams and clients during design, pre-construction, deployment, and commissioning phases.
  • Participate in pre-construction meetings and evaluate construction changes and design deviation requests.
  • Conduct quarterly data-collection walk-throughs at assigned venues and facilities.
  • Oversee baseline collection walks and post-process collected RF data.
  • Analyze system performance and prepare detailed performance reports.
  • Assist with the development and execution of performance plans and project scopes of work (SOW).
  • Interpret RF data, coaxial sweep results, fiber test traces, and other system-performance information.
  • Follow all company safety policies, operational procedures, and industry standards.
  • Perform additional technical or supervisory duties as assigned by leadership.

Physical & Work Requirements

  • Ability to perform a combination of field-based technical work and office-based analysis.
  • Willingness and ability to travel locally and regionally based on project requirements.
  • Ability to work off-peak hours and night shifts when required for system cutovers and project schedules.
  • Ability to safely transport, handle, and operate specialized field testing equipment.
  • Ability to work safely at customer venues, facilities, and active project locations while following established safety standards.

Experience

  • Hands-on experience with DAS commissioning, system performance, RF optimization, testing, or troubleshooting strongly preferred.
  • Experience using specialized RF and telecommunications test equipment such as Enhancell, Anritsu, PIM analyzers, OTDRs, and cable sweep meters.
  • Ability to interpret complex RF data, coaxial sweep results, and fiber test traces.
  • Familiarity with major DAS/OEM platforms such as Corning/Airspan, SOLiD, JMA Wireless, ADRF, and CommScope is strongly preferred.
  • OEM certifications or other relevant industry certifications are highly desirable.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Project, SharePoint, and Teams.
  • Experience working with enterprise project management software preferred.
  • Strong technical troubleshooting, communication, documentation, and client-facing skills.
