Telecomunications – Lineman II

Job Summary

As a Lineman II Telecom, you will play a critical role in installing, maintaining, and repairing fiber and telecommunications lines to ensure reliable service. This position requires hands-on expertise, a strong commitment to safety, and the ability to work in dynamic environments, including at heights and in the field.

Key Responsibilities

• Install and repair complex fiber and telecommunications cables and materials
• Diagnose and resolve issues quickly to maintain efficient and reliable service
• Safely operate equipment such as bucket trucks, digger derricks, and excavators
• Use hand and power tools including wrenches, drills, and saws
• Maintain safe work zones to ensure smooth traffic flow during job operations
• Work safely at heights using climbing hooks and ladders
• Provide guidance and support to team members as needed
• Travel for storm response on short notice when required
• Perform additional duties as assigned

Physical & Work Requirements

• Ability to work with arms above shoulder level and at heights
• Work in confined spaces and remote locations
• Climb stairs, use ladders, bend, stoop, stand, and walk for extended periods
• Lift up to 55 pounds regularly
• Operate vehicles and heavy machinery safely
• Occasional use of a computer, keyboard, and mouse
• Valid state driver's license (cannot be Provisional), including an acceptable driving record
• Valid state CDL license and/or willingness to obtain it
• A minimum of three years of relevant Lineman experience
