Previously tower crew member, with three years’ experience in tower site construction, radio antenna and lead line installation, and broadband site construction. As a member of a six man crew, we were responsible for tower construction from start to finish; foundation work, tower construction, and either crane stacking or stacking with a gin pole. We dealt mostly with VHF/UHF public safety equipment, and handled installation of antennas, lead lines, duplexers, and repeaters. I also installed broadband point to multi-point systems, and the backhauls that fed them. We as a company successfully owned and operated our own commercial broadband system with over two thousand subscribers. I was responsible for maintaining this system by replacing damaged CAT 5 cables, retuning broadband dishes that had been moved from a linked position, and replacing hardware or weather protection for equipment.
