COMPANY BACKGROUND

North Sky Communications, Inc. (North Sky) is a specialty telecommunications construction company with over 30 years of wireless communications experience.  Our home base of operations is Vancouver, Washington with several satellite offices located in the Pacific Northwest and across the country.  North Sky was formed in April of 1990 by the merging of Sky Antenna Systems, Inc. and North Pacific Utility Contractors, Inc.  Sky Antenna, established in 1980, was an installation and aerial construction company for both CATV and telephone, while North Pacific concentrated on CATV and telephone underground development.  The merger was a natural joining of two respected and ambitious Northwest companies, offering a full range of communications construction and installation services.

In December of 2012, North Sky became a subsidiary of Dycom Industries, Inc., a national telecom construction cooperative.  The trading symbol for Dycom on the NYSE is DY.  The previous merger with Quanta Services allowed greater US coverage and diversification of our abilities in the utility construction field, and the current partnership with Dycom will allow us to continue to move forward as a leader in the telecom construction field

North Sky Communications, Inc. operates as an individual business unit of our parent company – Dycom Industries, Inc. (www.dycomind.com). We have the financial backing, best in class Insurance Coverage, best in class Safety Programs, and the most modern fleet of vehicles and equipment to complement our management and craft employees. Following are a few of our Support Services:

• Safety Programs –Our Safety Culture is unmatched; we have an in-house Safety Manager; daily, weekly, and monthly safety protocols. Electronic Notification Systems for Flash Notices, Incident and Accident reporting.
• Quality Control – we monitor our QC Programs internally; created directly/randomly from our billing system. Production is processed daily; addresses are processed into our quality control data base and submitted back to the field managers for quality checks.
• Fleet Maintenance – Fleet maintenance and purchases are coordinated through Dycom’s Fleet Management. North Sky Communications, Inc. has access to a vehicle and equipment fleet well in excess of 2,000 units.
• Training – we train internally and provide certifications where required.
